Opt for one primary engagement shoot location that has lots of options. If the location is special to your relationship (first date, proposal, etc.) that’s even better! You save a lot of travel time if you have one place that has diversity. We have a few places we love to shoot so if you don’t know where to start, feel free to ask!
We encourage our couples to choose 2-3 separate outfits for their session. We recommend that you start with something dressy and then go a bit more casual. Don’t be afraid to have fun with what you’re wearing!
Your engagement session day is the perfect day to schedule hair and makeup trials. Professional makeup does make a huge difference and if you let them know you’re getting your photo taken they will know how to make sure it looks perfect on camera and also sample what it looks like on your wedding day.
Incorporating your hobbies and interest into your shoot can make it personal and interesting! Feel free to bring props or anything else that will make your photos yours!
Lastly, bring some snacks and water. It could take a few hours and nothing is worse than not feeling our best!
