We have had the pleasure of working with Shumaila of So Cal Event Planners on many beautiful weddings and special events. We thought it would be great to send them a little vendor love this week on our blog. She sat down with us and discuss how working together has been, her favorite event with us and also a bit about the company itself! SoCal Event Planners was founded by Shumaila in 2011 with the goal of helping couples make their big day just a little bit easier. She shares that the goal quickly grew as they went from standard Day of Coordinators to a Full Planning, Rental and Décor company. They are experts in managing large-scale events to details of traditions in South Asian weddings and approach each opportunity not as a one-time event, but rather as the beginning of a long-term relationship.
Shumaila shares with us her favorite wedding was Sadia and Adil’s wedding in December of 2017. “We fully planned and executed the couple’s event from vendor selection, budget management to décor conceptualization. Photography and Videography was no different. We sat down with the couple on multiple occasions to understand their needs. We worked with Samson Productions because of their ease and understanding on how to capture South Asian weddings along with their years of experience in the market. The relationship we have built with the Samson team over the years of working side by side at previous events, allows us to able to focus on every detail of the event where nothing is missed.”
Lastly, her advice to wedding couples – “This is a special moment in both of your lives so don’t stress about the details – let So Cal Event Planners focus on the stress of making sure all your details, plans, and ideas come to life. Having a wedding planner or coordinator will expand your options and opportunities which saves your time, effort and money. Our advice for future couples planning their big day, is to first remember to have fun – the cost of being stress free on your big day is priceless. Don’t spend thousands on the event details without hiring a qualified, experienced company to make sure your day goes smoothly and as planned!”
